چکیده

The need for construction sand needs to increase due the in population. use of dunes and coastal disfigures shorelines consequences are alarming. It is therefore necessary consider replacing these resources with other more ecological ones. Hence, it purpose this article. In paper, we study correct formulation concrete using dredged sand, respecting standards, analyze impact new material on physical mechanical characteristics concrete. This article aims evaluate effects 9 formulations, used as substitutes ordinary physico-chemical properties. experimental results have shown that affects properties concrete, but standards force. mode incorporation also has an environmental advantage over substitution reduces disfigurement coasts. paper studies dredge sands from two regions namely Azemour Mehdia. dredging partially or totally replaces sand. Subsequently, was test several formulations different cement dosages before arriving at which exposed study. fresh state (consistency test) hardened (mechanical resistance) possible, consequently can concretes mortars. true shows a reduction resistance compared control reductions still remain accordance Moroccan regulatory specifications.

Sand Sealing of Coastal Structures

DISCUSSION: Rubblemound coastal structures contain voids between individual armor units. Structure voids maximize turbulent wave energy dissipation, but also allow passage of water and sediment. The volume of sediment passing through some jetties and terminal groins can be substantial, resulting in increased channel shoaling, higher maintenance costs, and significant loss of beach material. Mos...

Measuring and Modeling the Effect of Surface Moisture on the Spectral Reflectance of Coastal Beach Sand

Surface moisture is an important supply limiting factor for aeolian sand transport, which is the primary driver of coastal dune development. As such, it is critical to account for the control of surface moisture on available sand for dune building. Optical remote sensing has the potential to measure surface moisture at a high spatio-temporal resolution. It is based on the principle that wet san...
